After growing up in the suburbs of New York City and becoming a nationally ranked athlete, I discovered my passion for Yoga and Meditation in 2012 while seeking something to complement my competitive edge. I was introduced to Yoga by a friend who encouraged me to keep an open mind despite my initial apprehension and confusion. Guided by a patient and supportive instructor, I completed my first Yoga class feeling like I had had a “light bulb” moment. That was really the first time I had found myself drawn to the concept of holistic healing.
Upon graduating from school in 2014, I made the decision to leave the East Coast and relocate to Colorado. I immersed myself in classes across the state and beyond, intrigued by the universal sense of community in every studio I visited. I came to understand that while Yoga and Meditation weren’t panaceas, they supported me on the path to personal healing. After five transformative years in Colorado, I returned to the East Coast to deepen my understanding of this ancient practice and share its benefits with others.
In 2019, I began my teaching journey, earning multiple RYT certifications and participating in workshops and intensive trainings at renowned institutions such as Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. I now hold a 500-hour RYT certification in Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga, complemented by over 500 additional hours of Yoga Alliance certified continuing education in Kundalini Yoga, Meditation, Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Holistic Wellness, Nutrition, and Yin Yoga. I am also a certified Level 1 Thai Yoga Massage practitioner.
I have had the privilege of training under esteemed Master teachers including Kia Miller, Irene Pappas, Steven Leonard, Rodney Yee & Colleen Saidman Yee, Manorama, Sharon Salzberg, Stephen Cope, and David Nichtern. My foundational 200-hour training was completed at Kaia Yoga in Greenwich, CT, followed by my advanced 300-hour training at Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor, NY. Currently, I am working towards my E-RYT Certification (1000 hours).
In 2022, I embraced an opportunity to expand my practice and my offerings beyond Connecticut and New York to the beautiful Caribbean islands of St. John and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As of 2024, I have returned to the East Coast to continue my teachings and studies and am eager to see what the future holds.
When I'm not on my mat, you can find me near the ocean, exploring in nature, hitting local spots, or spending time with my friends and family. I have a true dedication to keeping an open mind and an open heart, and I feel honored and grateful to be a part of this ever-growing community.
